How to Stop Procrastinating?
- Accept the fact that you will have to do the task.
- Try to do the hardest tasks first so you can get it over and done with.
- For me, making a to-do list works really well. List everything, big and small, that you have to do for the entire day. As you work through your day, check off each of the items off of your list.
- Set a period of time to do nothing but work. Turn off your laptop, phone and put away anything that will distract you.
- Give yourself a break. If you can't seem to focus, take a 10-15 minute. Either take a nap, read a book, go on your phone or watch TV.
- Motivating yourself is essential in order to get your work done. Positive reinforcement is the most effective means of motivating yourself.
- Focus on the end goal. As you work, focus on all the free time and relaxation you will get at the end of the task. This will help you to stay on the task and focus on your goal.
